Tea Party Response to Veto of SB1062: ‘Defeat of Bill will Lead to Tyranny (And a Run on Penis Cakes)’
“Tyranny is on the rise,” according to Tea Party commentator Judson Phillips. In a heated reply to Arizona Governor Jan Brewer’s veto of SB1062, known as the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, Judson warned that the veto of the bill will cause good Christians to become enslaved and will lead to a run on genitalia-shaped wedding cakes.
Blaming progressives for going on ‘overdrive’ to defeat the bill, which was aimed at allowing businesses to refuse service to the LGBT community in the name of religious freedom, Phillips said that the comparisons between the denial of service during the Civil Rights Movement of the 50’s and 60’s to the denial of service to the LGBT community were spurious and that liberals were really just trying to deny Christians their religious rights.
“The left came up with bizarre and insane arguments against SB1062,” he demanded. “They tried to equate sexual preference with race. Unfortunately few will stand up against that grossly inaccurate analogy. The left believes that it has the right to dictate what religious beliefs are allowed.”
He continued by warning that those on the left are really trying to enslave hard-working Americans.
“The left and the homosexual lobby are both pushing slavery using the Orwellian concepts of ‘tolerance’ and ‘inclusiveness.'” he stressed, claiming the issue can be boiled down to own word, “Freedom.”
The Tea Party commentator then went on his own insane, bizarre rant suggesting that, thanks to Governor Brewer’s veto, good Christian bakers would now be forced to deal with the run on penis cakes and and religious photographers would be forced to handle wedding day sex acts from the LGBT community.
“Should a devout baker be required to create a cake for a homosexual wedding that has a giant phallic symbol on it or should a baker be required to create pastries for a homosexual wedding in the shape of genitalia?” he demanded. “Or should a photographer be required to photograph a homosexual wedding where the participants decide they want to be nude or engage in sexual behavior?”
He then concluded by blaming liberals for the ruination of America and for imposing tyranny on the nation.
“Liberalism is the paranoid belief that leftists have that somewhere, someone may be thinking for themselves,” he said. “It is the tyrannical belief that no deviation in belief is allowed from the decreed orthodoxy…It is the antithesis of liberty; it is tyranny on the march.”
