Tea Party Faux-Scandal: Massive Democratic Voter Fraud Won Obama the Election
The Tea Party has finally figured out how Barack Obama won the 2012 election. As it turns out, the Democrats cheated.
Tea Party Nation’s Judson Phillips announced his ‘startling’ revelation in a blog declaring Democratic voters had rigged the latest Presidential election through a massive case of voter fraud.
“A study done in North Carolina showed that 35,750 people who live and voted in North Carolina may have voted in another state in the 2012 Presidential election,” Phillips claimed, adding, “The study was based on comparing the first and last names along with date of birth for people who voted in 28 other states. In 765 of those cases, social security numbers matched as well.”
Phillips, however, does not point out that the study, which was devised by voter fraud crusader Kris Kobach, actually did not find massive fraud at all, or at least conclusively.
“This may constitute evidence of voter fraud, voter error, poll worker error, or data problems,” Joshua Lawson, spokesman for North Carolina Board of Elections admitted about the flawed study stressing the need for more conclusive results before a determination could be made.
Casting further doubt on Phillip’s claims, when the study was repeated in Colorado and Ohio, no voter fraud was found, suggesting that even if North Carolina did have a terrible infestation of voter fraud, it clearly had not spread to all 50 states.
Yet, despite the fact even Kobach acknowledged his study led to many false positives and the numbers had to be taken with a grain of salt, Phillips used the study numbers to determine that if that many people committed voter fraud in North Carolina, then, it is reasonable to “extrapolate this figure out over the entire population,” and discern that one million voters went to the polls twice during the 2012 election.
Assuming that most of the fraudsters must have been Democrats, he then decided that by eliminating the double votes for Obama, Mitt Romney could have won.
“The results of this North Carolina study are not just alarming, they could have changed the outcome of the 2012 election,” he said, “A shift of 333,000 votes in four states would have given him an electoral win.”
“Democrats are not winning elections” he concluded. “They are taking them the old fashioned way. They are stealing them.”
