Right-Wing Rant: Lunar Eclipse Is Flashing Red Warning Sign to Obama

The blood moon spotted in the sky above North America this week was much more than a rare astrological phenomena. According to conservative website WorldNetDaily, the lunar eclipse is a sign from God that Obama is doing a terrible job.

“There are flashing red warning lights in the heavens that should command peoples’ attention right now, because the one behind those warnings, God, had more than a pen and a phone in his hand,” a report on the site reads, poking fun at Obama’s comments about his frustration with Congress and the need to take action on the economy in January.

The WND’s latest anti-Obama rant echoes a new book by conservative pastor Mark Blitz who is convinced that the blood moons spell doom and gloom for America, especially with Obama at the helm.

“I believe the moons are like flashing red warning lights at a heavenly intersection saying to Israel as well as the nations they will be crossing heavenly red lines,” Blitz wrote in his book.

“Like Pharaoh the leaders and pundits of today will realize when it comes to crossing the red lines of the Creator of the universe he has more than a pen and a phone in his hand.” he added in a jab at Obama.

The WND article also feeds into growing concern among some conservative Christians that the series of blood moons are a fulfillment of an end-time prophecy.

Joel 2:31 and Acts 2:20 both  predict that in the end of days the sun will be turned to darkness and the moon will be turned to blood, something pastors like Blitz and mega-church preacher John Hagee see as a sign that the bible is being fulfilled and the end is near.

“I believe that the Heavens are God’s billboard, that He has been sending signals to Planet Earth but we just have not been picking them up.” Hagee said in a recent sermon, touting the dangers of the blood moon as described in his own new book.

“God sends plant Earth a signal that something big is about to happen!,” Hagee has also warned to his flock. “He’s controlling the Sun and the moon right now to send our generation a signal, but the question is, are we getting it?”

While the idea that the lunar eclipse spells the end of the world may seem extreme to some, including many evangelicals, a poll of WND readers suggests that some people are clearly buying it. Over 50 percent of those who answered the poll agreed that the blood moon was a sign Jesus was likely to return or that God was sending a message through the heavens.

It is written in the Bible that the Angels won’t know when Jesus is coming back but in the meantime God is dropping hints to these people and others. We are suppose to be ready when Jesus do come back to spend eternity with him. Jesus says we are to love everybody, and he does see everything. How can anyone consider themselves ready to spend eternity with Jesus when we mistreat his children. We are all his children including the President. We all know the world is coming to an end, but we don’t know when not even the Angels in Heaven.

~sigh~ Okay…..so the right conservatives can’t believe that the human race is causing climate change but they believe our president, Barrack Obama is causing the end of the world. Mini sermon here: When God decides it is time for the end of the world, nothing man can do will stop the inevitable. It is in God’s hand and it is God’s decision in God’s time. Why all the fear? That is something that I don’t understand, why are so many people afraid? If God has started the destruction of the World, you might just as well sit back , pray and sing with joy. If you have lived your life with LOVE as Jesus taught, you have nothing to fear. If not, …..be afraid, be very afraid and hope you have time to change. IN the end it is always about your relationship with other people that comes into light. (First, we are human.)
