Right-Wing Rant: Obama Plotting to Use Immigrants to Spread Diseases and Socialism
In an audacious rant published today at far right website WorldNetDaily, columnist Elizabeth Lee Vliet announced that President Barack Obama has launched a plot to destroy America’s social and economic fabric and “replace them with a ‘new socialist order’ under federal control.”
To support his socialist goals, in fact, Obama is luring immigrants into the country – most of them illegally and many of them kids – with the promise of food stamps and lapsed border security.
“Why are such swarms entering the U.S. illegally NOW, particularly children? Newspapers in Mexico and Central and South America are actually describing U.S. ‘open borders,’ encouraging people to come with promises of food stamps or ‘amnesty,'” Vliet wrote. “It is textbook Cloward-Piven strategy to overwhelm and collapse the economic and social systems, in order to replace them with a ‘new socialist order’ under federal control.”
Once in the country, according to Vliet, this ‘tsunami’ of child immigrants will overwhelm the already wounded American health care system by introducing diseases long ago eradicated in America and flooding emergency rooms so ‘real’ Americans cannot get care.
“Delays to see doctors at the Phoenix VA hospital cost the lives of 58 veterans while waiting for care. This is just a portent of far more deaths to come from delays for Americans’ medical care as thousands of sick illegals swamp already overcrowded emergency rooms,” Vliet insisted. “How will these facilities stay open at all under the financial burden of this huge unfunded federal mandate to provide ‘free’ treatment?”
The result of his sinister master plan, according to Vliet, will be the downfall of America as we know it today and its replacement by an Obama-engineered socialist evil order.
Yet despite her fear mongering about the very real increase in child immigrants crossing the border, Vliet conveniently forgot to mention that the more kid-friendly immigration atmosphere may actually be at least partially the result of a Bush administration policy. The Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act passed in 2008 may encourage child migrants because it guarantees certain protections to unaccompanied children.
She also skipped the part that while many kids are crossing the borders, over 6000 of them have been sent back in just first 4 months of this year.
As for the fears the the migrant kids will bring third world diseases back to America in epidemic proportions, The Texas Health Department have stated there is little basis for such claims, although it has long been a popular argument among the anti-immigration far right.
