Conservative Tells Tea Party: Obama Shouldn’t Just Be Impeached, He Should be Publicly Executed
Steven Steinlight is a senior analyst for the conservative Center for Immigration Studies (CIS). He also thinks Obama should not just be impeached, he should be publicly executed for his crimes, especially when it comes to immigration.
Speaking to a group of Tea Party folk recently, he called for the grisly end of the current White House occupant.
“We all know, if there ever was a president that deserved to be impeached, it’s this guy, alright?” Steinlight said. “And I wouldn’t stop. I would think being hung, drawn, and quartered is probably too good for him.”
He also called Boehner’s lawsuit against Obama “a political loser” and called for stronger action against the President especially when it came to his botched immigration policies.
While shocking, Steinlight’s hard-line approach is hardly surprising when you realize the so-called Center for Immigration Studies is actually a thinly veiled anti-Obama, anti-immigration propaganda machine that the Tea Party considers, “one of the nation’s most insightful voices on immigration.”
For example, CIS recently published a ‘study’ claiming Obama released 68,000 immigrants with known criminal histories.
“There’s a time in between which they serve their sentence for the crime — the other crime that they committed — and our actually putting them on a plane or a bus or wherever to go back to their home country,” Steinlight’s colleague Jessica Vaughan explained about CIS’s so-called breakthrough. “And that’s a gap that can be dealt with through policy. This is not something that we have no control over.”
The study was quickly debunked as having no basis in fact.
Steinlight has also spouted some pretty mean-spirited pseudo-research of his own while part of CIS, once claiming that the Latino community will be the undoing of America because they lack ‘family values.’
“Illegitimacy is inimical to ‘family values,’” Steinlight insisted. “Yet Hispanics have a high rate and have witnessed the greatest increase of any group: 19 percent in 1980 to 42 percent in 2003,” he continued, concluding that the Hispanics lack of ‘family values’ – not income inequality, social inequality urban crime and bigots like him – is the cause of the entire community’s higher poverty levels, incarceration and higher-than-average high school dropout rates.
