Michele Bachmann Thinks She is Better Qualified Than Hillary to Be America’s First Female President
Michele Bachmann is mulling a run for the White House in 2016, or at least she does not want to be counted out yet. She also wants the world to know that while she wants women considered in the next presidential race, Hillary Clinton has no business running at all.
“The only thing that the media has speculated on is that it’s going to be various men that are running (in 2016),” Bachmann said in an interview with Real Clear Politics. “They haven’t speculated, for instance, that I’m going to run. What if I decide to run? And there’s a chance I could run…”
She also said that since she already has one presidential bid under her belt, she would be a much better candidate this time around.
“Like with anything else, practice makes perfect,” the Minnesota right-winger said. “And I think if a person has gone through the process — for instance, I had gone through 15 presidential debates — it’s easy to see a person’s improvement going through that.”
While Bachmann may be contemplating throwing her own hat in the ring, she certainly doesn’t think Hillary Clinton is a suitable candidate for the White House – woman or not.
“Hillary Clinton reinforces daily to the American people that she is not commander-in-chief material. She fails to inspire confidence in practically anything that she’s touched,” Bachmann said at the Road to Majority Conference on Friday, calling for Hillary to be barred from the race.
To emphasize her anti-Hillary point, she then dredged up the well-worn right-wing claims about Benghazi to ‘prove’ Hillary’s incompetence.
“Mrs. Clinton has to explain to the American people why she repeatedly ignored request after request for increased security in the Benghazi mission compound. She has to explain to the American people why, when Americans were under attack, she failed to pick up the phone and call the commander-in-chief and demand he send in reinforcements to rescue our brave Americans on the ground,” Bachmann said, perhaps giving a practice run of her 2016 campaign spiel.
