Rush Limbaugh: Robin Williams Killed Himself Because of His Sick, Leftist Mind
The death of Robin Williams has brought out an overwhelming flood of support from fans nationwide. It has also led to some pretty insensitive remarks from the right.
One GOP official, Chris Fields from Minnesota, callously turned one Democrat’s twitter expression of grief into a political ploy, tweeting back to Carol Anderson (who even named her cat Nanu-Nanu in William’s honor) that she should actually be turning her sorrow into a GOP vote.
A Fox News host made his own boneheaded remark about Williams’ death, calling the comedian a coward just hours after his death was made public.
Shephard Smith has since apologized for his comments, telling Mediaite, “It just came out of my mouth. And I’m so sorry. And to anyone and their families who see that, I am sorry.”
Now, Rush Limbaugh is getting in on the act, suggesting Williams’ death was the product of his dark, political leftist mind.
“What is the left’s world view in general?” Limbaugh asked just one day after Williams death was made public. “If you had to attach, not a philosophy, but an attitude to a leftist world view. It’s one of pessimism and darkness, sadness. They’re never happy, are they?”
He added that he somehow knew that the real reason Williams killed himself was because others had died before him causing him way too much guilt.
“Robin Williams felt guilty that he was still alive while his three friends had died young, and much earlier than he had,” the conservative talker said citing Fox News. “He could never get over the guilt that they died and he didn’t.”
He added that these dark-guilt ridden thoughts that plagued Williams are typical of liberals.
“Well, that is a constant measurement that is made by political leftists in judging the country,” he said, someone managing to turn a tragic death into yet another anti-liberal rant.
