National Impeach Obama Week Draws Few Protesters

Last week, a handful of Americans celebrated National Impeach Obama Week with rallies, protests, and overpass signs.

The scattering of events intended to highlight a growing movement to call for Obama’s ouster that was started, in part, by Sarah Palin.

In July, Palin took to the right-wing rag Breitbart to compare America to a battered woman and claim Obama is purposely destroying the country by opening up the nation’s southern border to ‘illegals.’

Always classy, Palin headlined her right-wing op-ed with this pearl of wisdom:

“Enough is enough of the years of abuse from this president. His unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ‘no mas.'”

She then went on to explain just how Obama was failing to do his job by letting people just come into the country where they eat up resources and steal jobs from ‘real’ Americans and action must be taken immediately.

“It’s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds,” she stressed.”The many impeachable offenses of Barack Obama can no longer be ignored…After all this he’s not impeachable, then no one is.”

Taking her message to heart, a few diehards last week tried to get the impeachment word out in small gatherings held across the country.

Including this lone protester in Maryland:

Event organizers insisted the low turnout was expected and those brave enough to show made an impact in the growing movement to get Obama out and say “no mas.”

“Small impeach-Obama protests are like a smoldering fire, that could flare up at the right moment,” the organizers said as it was clear few were actually going to show for the week long schedule of events.

“Since it represents a direct attack on a leading politician that could lead to something bigger, even a small group of protesters has a significant impact. That is why Obama toadies try so hard to marginalize and discourage impeach-Obama protesters.”
