Drew Carey Steps in to Help Bust Bullies Who Doused Autistic Teen With Poo During Ice Bucket Challenge

In the days before school started, in a posh neighborhood near Cleveland Ohio a group of teens planned a terrible prank.

Luring a 14-year-old boy to a nearby home  by telling him that he was going to do the Ice Bucket Challenge, the boy willingly stripped into his underwear to be part of the popular trend.

Instead of dousing him with ice water, though,  the teens dumped a bucket of urine, poop, and other disgusting things over this head.

The young man – who is autistic – was devastated. The callous teens took the ‘joke’ even further by filming the whole thing with the young man’s cell phone and putting it all online.

“The bucket challenge is supposed to be raising awareness for this disease and now they’ve turned it into a sick joke,” the boy’s mom said. “I just can’t understand why kids would do something this cruel.”

After the boy’s family showed the police the tape last Wednesday, they agreed that this went far beyond horseplay.

“It’s disturbing to watch, you can obviously tell that somebody has been taking advantage of there,” said Det. Kevin Krolkosky of the Bay Village police.“Obviously, if possible, we do want to hold those individuals accountable for their actions.”

So far, no arrests have been made.

At a press conference on Friday, the police said they are currently “working closely with the Bay Schools, analyzing the device used to record the video, interviewing witnesses, determining exactly where and when this occurred and identifying those involved. Preliminary information suggests this occurred prior to the start of the school year at a home in Bay Village.”

Notable Clevelander and Price and Right host Drew Carey has also said that he is willing to throw some serious cash behind getting the bullies caught.

Taking to Twitter he wrote, “If the Bay Village PD wants to start a reward fund to find who did this, contact me. I’ll donate $10k.”

There is no word as of Sunday morning  if the police plan to take Carey up on his offer.
