Ted Cruz Calls Obama’s Reaction to ‘Fundamentally Unserious’, Says ISIS is Crucifying Christians
Senator Ted Cruz is worried that the Obama administration is being ‘fundamentally unserious’ about ISIS, putting American lives at risk.
According to Cruz, Obama and his administration want to turn the Army into social workers and expand their handout politics into Syria, something that is downright dangerous in Cruz’s mind.
Speaking on Fox News’s “Hannity,” Cruz also explained that even Obama’s cabinet members seemed to be more interested in talking about ‘reconciliation’ instead of Cruz’s preferred ‘kill, kill, kill’ approach.
“When I asked Gen. Dempsey, militarily, how would we go in and kill the terrorists before they’re able to take jihad to America, his answer was, ‘Well, we need to see political reconciliation,'” Cruz said, frustrated. “We need to change the conditions on the ground so people are not susceptible to extremism.”
Cruz then stressed that this was no time to be soft and focused on handouts rather than annilation.
“Look,” Cruz said, “it’s not our job to be social workers in Iraq and put them all on expanded Medicaid. It is our job to kill terrorists who have declared war on America and who have demonstrated the intention and capability to murder innocent Americans.”
The Texas Congressman then added that while Obama may have no sense of urgency about what was happening in Syria, Christians were being crucified and it is just a matter of time before ISIS kill Americans on our own soil.
“ISIS right now is the face of evil, Cruz said. “They are crucifying Christians, they are persecuting Christians, they are beheading children. They have promised to take Jihad to our shores….”
For the record, there are no verified reports of ISIS – although they are evil – crucifying Christians. That rumor, is actually based on a photograph circulating of what may be spies strung up to crosses by ISIS in the public square. In fact, when Politifact asked Cruz’s office to provide proof of his claims, they simply decided not to respond at all.
There is also obviously no ‘international Medicaid expansion’ plan, although Obama did announce that he plans on providing humanitarian support to the non-combatant victims – many of them women in children – who have been displaced due to the war.
