Ted Cruz Has His Own Superhero Coloring Book

Texas Senator Ted Cruz has never been short on ego and patriotic talk.

Yet a new coloring book aimed at Tea Party kids literally turns him into a political superhero.

The kids book, dubbed,’Ted Saves America’ is actually a sequel of another political coloring book by the same company called ‘Ted Cruz to the Future.’

That coloring book, according the publishers, sold out like hotcakes, prompting them to create the new book due to “popular demand.”

Really Big Coloring Books, who printed both editions, said that despite posing Cruz as a hero fighting against such things as ‘Obamacare’ the coloring books are not meant to be political, just ‘factual.’

That is a little hard to believe, though, given promo materials for the first book read much like a Cruz campaign flier than children’s coloring lesson.

Deeming Cruz a “passionate fighter for limited government, economic growth, and the Constitution,” the publishers pointed out they created the first book because Cruz “was so important because millions of citizens believe Obama Care is worse than any war. At least American soldiers have weapons with which to defend themselves.”

The new edition goes even further to paint Cruz a hero.

Posing Cruz in front of the White House with the caption “2016 Focus for Leadership,” the coloring book is all-out propaganda, showing Cruz on the cover in a superhero pose and sporting a wedding ring in a nod to traditional marriage.

An inside page even shows Cruz fighting the hydra’s snakes of ‘high taxes’, ‘illegal immigration,’ ‘Obamacare’ and ‘Injustice.’

Still Wayne Bell of Really Big Coloring Books claims that if you think his book is stumping for the Tea Party, you are wrong.

“[T]he supplement and book are fact based, fair and objective, about a man who millions of American citizens consider a real life true to heart super hero for children to look up to,” he said in his press release announcing the book.
