Howard Dean Slams Rick Santorum Over Obamacare

Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean slammed former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum during a debate over President Barack Obama’s competency and the Affordable Care Act. Santorum point to the problems of the ACA website and what’s going on in the Middle East as indication that Obama is incompetent. He cited issues encountered during enrollment on the website.

Before asking Dean if he things these issues are leaving lasting damages, Anchor Candy Crowley of CNN pointed to a poll that indicate that people are saying that the country is not doing well.

Dean replied, “I think there is no evidence for that at all. Again, I think that is right-wing talking point against this president. From day one, when he got in there, they try to undermine him as a human being.” He said the ACA is the law and cited that Mitt Romney has been successful in Massachusetts. Dean said he failed to see how it had anything to do with Obama’s competence, and added that he lost patience with all the nonsense.

Santorum jumped in to say that it is not nonsense, pointing to Massachusetts’ high insurance rate, all the broken promises and issues with the health care system.

Dean responded saying, “What we haven’t seen is what the results are and I think none of that is going to happen. There are going to be some rates that go up because rates have been going up for thirty years. There is no cost control in this bill and there is no cost Governor Romney’s bill.” He continued, “That’s going to have to come later.”

The ACA is law. Stop trying to sabotage the ruling. Spend your energy looking for positive suggestions to strengthen the program. It is designed to offer aid to the less fortunate. How or why would you not want its success? Are you a human or a hybrid?
