Jon Stewart Upset At The RNC For Restarting Racism Three Hours After It Ended
Like everyone else, Jon Stewart usually gets his news from one source, mainly Twitter. Stewart was ecstatic to see the tweet that suggests that racism has ended, only to be disappointed that the RNC had restarted racism three hours later.
In recognition of Rosa Parks, the RNC tweeted, “Today we remember Rosa Parks’ bold stand and her role in ending racism.”
Stewart happily pulls out a history book of racism and points out the empty pages for post 1955 entries. Before putting the book away, he said some might ask why then was the book made so big. Stewart replied, “Shut up!”
When many expressed anger, the RNC tweeted again. The RNC’s tweet read, “Previous tweet should have read ‘Today we remember Rosa Parks’ bold stand and her role in fighting to end racism.'”
Stewart called them “Indian-givers” for bringing back racism with the new tweet. “You kidding me! You officially announced the end to racism and then three hours later you start racism again,” said Stewart. He pretends to talk on the phone, explaining that he knew that his comments were racist but says that it’s okay since racism is back.
