Jon Stewart Defends Phil Robertson, Slams Fox News

Jon Stewart joins the world and offers his take on Duck Dynasty’s star Phil Robertson’s comments on homosexuality. In an article in GQ magazine, Phil Robertson called homosexuality sinful. He said, “Just morph out from there. Bestiality, the male prostitutes, the drunkards, the swindlers, they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. It’s not right.”

In Robertson’s defense, Stewart said, “Look! I think what the guy said is ignorant, but I also have an inclination to support a world where saying ignorant sh*t on television doesn’t get you kicked off that medium.” He continued, “But I guess I stand with the ‘free speech absolutists’ at Fox News, who don’t believe you should pressure people to have to adhere to cultural norms of speech, mostly.”

Stewart slams Fox News when it comes to the “War on Christmas,” for not extending their belief in free speech for the holidays by making the word “Christmas” mandatory. He shows numerous clips of Fox News’ host complaining about company using the word holiday instead of Christmas.

Stewart ends the show by showing the Fox approved cast of Duck Dynasty saying, “Happy happy happy, happy happy, happy, holidays!”
